Mark Conroy received his long over due promotion to Black Belt

from Renzo Gracie last Thursday night.Our own FCBJJ family was

on hand to witness the special night.

Mike Farinola was awarded his long over due Blue Belt during the morning class at the Codella Academy. Be sure to wish Mike a huge congrats next time you see him on the mats.

The Staten Island Anti-Bully seminar was a big hit, FCBJJ was glad to help out  Joe Peteroy (Codella Purple Belt) and his very successful Saturday kids BJJ program. The kids had a great time and learned about Bullies and how to use Jiu-Jitsu to get them out of situations. Special Thanks to Blaise Putney (Codella Blue Belt)  and Marisa Filupeit for their help.

Happy New Year from FCBJJ, we are looking forward to some hard training for 2011!

Starting with on Jan 1, we will start using the Gi\Kimono on assigned days. Remember to check the schedule reguarly especially on Saturdays becuase we rotate Gi w/  No-Gi every other week

Tentatively starting on Jan 13, we will have Thursday morning classes from 7:30am-9:00am. If interested please contact us, as we need a few guys signed into the class before we can start it. This class as well will be rotating Gi w/ No-Gi every other week.

Our program will start December 1st, check out the new schedule and we look forward to seeing everyone on the mats. The new facility is stunning to say the least....

Thanks to Mayor Gonnelli and team, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu will now be offered in the brand new Secaucus Recreation Center. Still working on the final details but we are looking to be up and running by mid Nov. Three days a week including a morning class by Professor Mark Conroy....Gonna be great! Check back in a few weeks for the new schedule.

Guys Professors Mike and Gerry would like to take this time to thank the Valente Brothers,  Master Renzo, and his cousin Rickson for allowing them to be guests at Rickson's recent seminar held in Miami at the Valente Brothers amazing Jiu Jitsu Academy. As everyone who has ever tried on a Jiu Jitsu Gi knows,  Rickson Gracie is a true living legend.  His fighting skills along with his philosophy on life and Jiu Jitsu is an inspiration and the true essence of Jiu Jitsu.
